Steep Theatre, the esteemed Edgewater community theater, has relocated to Berwyn and Kenmore as part of their $3M capital campaign “Lights Up Edgewater.” Civic Projects’ reuse of a former Christian Science Reading Room will provide new spaces for artists, staff, and Boxcar, a small bar. Steep recently was awarded a $2.988 million Community Development Grant from the City of Chicago to fund this project. The space will include a black box theater space, supportive artist areas, and a new front-of-house lobby.
